Is There Such A Thing As Somatic Yoga Therapy?

A key factor in yoga therapy is somatic experience. Practices are done to alter the embodied experience of the individual practicing them. For instance, we perform a breathing practice that produces an experience of our heart rate and blood pressure going down. It is a body-mind phenomenon and as the saying goes, ‘it’s an inside job’.
